Hermitage Rd, Erdington
When Amy first visited our showroom, she was deep in the midst of her PhD journey, battling to complete her research from a cramped attic room. She knew something had to change – she needed a space that would help her focus and truly immerse herself in her project.
We discovered the perfect spot at the back of her long, narrow garden. Tucked away up a set of steps at the garden’s highest point, the location was ideal for a garden room. During our design meeting, Amy fell instantly in love with the concept and intended position of her new workspace.
Our experienced team are no stranger to working in compact spaces. Despite the garden’s limited area and ongoing renovations, we meticulously planned the build and worked carefully alongside the landscaping team to make sure to use every inch of space efficiently. The result was a towering garden building with steps leading up to one side, standing proudly at the top of Amy’s garden.
As of January 2025, Amy is now completing her PhD research in her new garden room, and the transformation has been remarkable. With a panoramic window offering a stunning natural landscape, she’s found her perfect inspiration and focus. Amy has been vocal about how this garden room has been a life-changing decision for her, providing the ideal environment for her academic work.
Working with Amy was an absolute pleasure. She reminded us why we do what we do – creating spaces that truly make a difference in people’s lives. Her appreciation for our work and the impact of her new garden room means the world to us.
Thank you once again Amy – best of luck with your PhD!
