When Ross and Debbie first came to us, they had an idea of how they wanted to use their new garden room but weren’t quite sure how to bring it all together.
The space was previously occupied by an old shed and playhouse, which had once been enjoyed by their children but, as they’d grown up, had become somewhere to store garden furniture, tools and other belongings.
Having both recently retired, Ross and Debbie wanted to make better use of this area of their garden and create somewhere separate from the main house where they could relax, enjoy their yoga sessions and entertain friends and family, while still keeping the practical storage space they needed.
Working closely with them, Tom carefully designed a multifunctional garden room that brought all these ideas together. The finished space features a comfortable seating area, a bespoke bar and a separate storage room, allowing them to enjoy the best of both worlds. With extensive glazing across two walls, the room is filled with natural light while making the most of the lovely views across their garden.
With its beautiful jungle-inspired interior and connection to the outdoors, the room has become a peaceful retreat that Ross and Debbie now enjoy every day. Whether it’s a morning yoga session, a quiet afternoon relaxing or an evening entertaining friends, it’s a space that perfectly suits this new chapter of their lives.
